I always get frustrated when I hear stories of sales people, regardless of whether they are in radio, real estate or any other sales oriented business, who wait for someone to call them to buy a product, rather than go out and actually sell something.
Logic and experience have always shown that taking a proactive approach to selling our products gives us the opportunity to grow our business quicker, as well as that of our clients. (If there’s a real estate agent reading this, I’d love to have you take on the listing for my home which is for sale.)
Anyway, out of frustration this week, with apologies to Pete Seegar, I offer the following to be read, hummed or sung to the song, “Where have all the flowers gone.”

I know that none of our sellers take our product or our customers’ products for granted, but it always helps to be reminded of what could happen if we don’t continue to focus on the fact that we are SELLERS, not just order takers, especially in today’s competitive marketplace!
